The work is a  reaction to my anxiety.​

• She only finds safety here, curled up, feeling small.

​

• She walks down the alley, pretending she is safe.

​

• She used to be afraid of the dark, but now the only light she finds comfort in is from the lamp beside her bed.

​

• She always played with the boys, but now she knows they don't understand.
